Nuoviso veröffentlicht erstes Comic über das ABORA- und Cheops-Projekt

(dg) Der Christ und Humanist Johann A. Comenius (1592-1670) veröffentlichte um 1650 sein epochales Werk „Orbis sensualium pictus“ (Die sichtbare Welt in Bildern). Er war der Auffassung, das Bild sei das "Tor zur Welterkenntnis". Genau diesen didaktischen Anspruch hat auch das neue Cheops-Comic, das in lustigen und sehr aufwendigen Illustrationen die Hintergründe, Ziele und Erlebnisse aus meinen Abenteuern auf der ABORA III sowie über das Cheops-Projekt berichtet. Ohne große Vorkenntnisse erfüllen die Zeichnungen den "alten Anspruch" von Comenius, die Welt des alten Ägyptens in wenigen Bildern erklären zu wollen.
Die Idee ABORA in einem Comic zu porträtieren ist nicht neu. Schon befreundete Künstler aus Norwegen hatten erste Illustrationen angefertigt, um bei ABORA IV die Erlebnisse in Comic-Form zu veröffentlichen. Am Ende erschien es jedoch zu aufwendig, und deshalb verwarfen wir die Idee.
Vor einem Jahr hatte sich schließlich der Kieler Künstler Daniel Haas bei Nuoviso gemeldet und diese Lücke geschlossen. Seither haben Frank Höfer und Daniel Haas drei Hefte produziert und seit dieser Woche steht nun das vierte Heft zum Kauf bereit!
Unter dem Titel "Nuoviso Comics – Kann Fragmente der Wahrheit enthalten!" thematisiert das neue Heft viele spannende Anekdoten und Geschehnisse aus meinem Forscherleben. Im Zentrum stehen natürlich meine ABORA III Expedition und das Cheops-Projekt mit all seinen Höhen und Tiefen.
Ob nun diese Bilderzählungen tatsächlich Fragmente der Wahrheit enthalten, möchte ich jetzt nicht Preis geben. Aber als Akteur in diesen Geschichten möchte ich schon verraten, dass sich viele Erlebnisse so oder ähnlicher Weise abgespielt haben. Wie sich die Geschichte am Ende auflöst finde ich absolut bemerkenswert, denn auf der allerletzten Seite erfahrt Ihr, wer für alles wirklich verantwortlich war!

Signierstunde bei Nuoviso. Mehr als 150 Hefte wurden vor laufenden Kameras unterschrieben und gleichzeitig Episoden genauer erzählt. Nuoviso strahlt diesen Teil voraussichtlich nächste Woche aus. // Book signing at Nuoviso. Nuoviso publishes first comic about the ABORA and Cheops project
The Christian and humanist Johann A. Comenius (1592-1670) published his epochal work "Orbis sensualium pictus" (The visible world in pictures) around 1650. He was of the opinion that the picture was the "gateway to knowledge of the world". The new Cheops comic, which reports the backgrounds, goals and experiences from my adventures on the ABORA III as well as about the Cheops project in funny and very elaborate illustrations, has exactly this didactic claim. Without much prior knowledge, the drawings fulfill Comenius' "old claim" of wanting to explain the world of ancient Egypt in a few pictures.
The idea of portraying ABORA in a comic is not new. Artist friends from Norway had already made the first illustrations in order to publish the experiences in comic form at ABORA IV. In the end, however, it seemed too time-consuming, so we discarded the idea. A year ago, the Kiel artist Daniel Haas contacted Nuoviso and closed this gap. Since then, Frank Höfer and Daniel Haas have produced three issues and this week the fourth issue is available for purchase!
Under the title "Nuoviso Comics - May contain fragments of truth!" The new issue deals with many exciting anecdotes and events from my research life. The focus is of course on my ABORA III expedition and the Cheops project with all its ups and downs.
Now I do not want to reveal whether these picture narratives actually contain fragments of the truth. But as a protagonist in these stories, I would like to reveal that many experiences took place in this way or in a similar way. How the story dissolves at the end I find absolutely remarkable, because on the very last page you will find out who was really responsible for everything!
