Segeltour mit Legende Gojko Mitic in Schottland
(dg) Der Leipziger Unternehmer Mathias Wagner lud zu seiner letzten Segeltour „WELT-POKAL“ ein. Dieses Mal geht es in den Norden Schottlands, wo ausgewählte Unternehmer mit der niederländischen Windjammer THE FLYING DUTCHMAN die Gewässer unsicher machen werden.
Das Ziel der Fahrt sind interessante Gespräche und auch Vorträge rund um die Themen Unternehmenskultur, Management und Vernetzung. Aus diesem Grund lud mich Mathias auch ein, vor den Machern aus Politik, Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft auch über meine ABORA-Forschung zu sprechen.
Stargast der diesjährigen Reise ist der bekannte Schauspieler zahlloser Indianerfilme, wie z.B. in Winnetou oder auch in den DEFA-Filmen „Die Söhne der großen Bärin“, Gojko Mitic. Gojko und ich kennen uns schon eine ganze Weile. In vielen Punkten stimmen unsere Standpunkte sehr überein, so dass wir – er als Indianerfreund des Nordens – und ich als Indianerfreund Südamerikas viele Berührungspunkte haben.
Aber auch viele andere Gäste sind echte Macher und Kracher, so dass die Tour alles andere als eine Spaßveranstaltung wird. Segeln kann somit wie schon so oft eine tolle Symbiose bilden, um Gesellschaft, Wirtschaft und Wissenschaft zusammen zu bringen. Und ein bisschen Abenteuer ist natürlich auch mit dabei…
Seefahrtromantik und Abenteuer werden hoffentlich unsere Begleiter sein. Die Wettervorschau ist nicht so optimistisch, aber an Bord eines Hochseesegler vermutlich auch nicht so wichtig. //

Der Leipzigerunternehmer und Erfinder des „Welt-Pokals“ organisiert (vermutlich) seine letzte Tour. Ich bin selbst seit 2006 ein regelmäßiger Teilnehmer der Segelregatten im Dienste des Unternehmertums. //
The Leipzig entrepreneur and inventor of the “WELT-POKAL” is (probably) organizing his last tour. I have been a regular participant in sailing regattas in the service of entrepreneurship since 2006.
Für mich war die schönste der attraktiven Touren die Fahrt mit dem größten Ausbildungsschiff der Welt – der russischen SEDOV. Damals segelten wir im Auftrag des KON TIKI Museums Oslo das Großsegel der TIGRIS (1977-78) nach Deutschland, um es auf meiner ABORA-Ausstellung im Verkehrsmuseum Dresden im Jahr 2012 zu präsentieren. Mehr als 100 russische Matrosen setzten mit Stolz das norwegische Segel am Hauptmast, um für das Erbe von Thor Heyerdahl und seine Missionen Flagge zu zeigen. //
For me, the most beautiful of the attractive tours was the trip on the largest training ship in the world - the Russian tall ship SEDOV. At that time, we sailed the main sail of the TIGRIS (1977-78) to Germany on behalf of the KON TIKI Museum Oslo to present it at my ABORA exhibition at the Dresden “Transport Museum” in 2012. More than 100 Russian sailors proudly hoisted the Norwegian sail on the mainmast to fly the flag for the legacy of Thor Heyerdahl and his missions.
Das war auch der Anspruch der ABORA IV Mission im Jahr 2019. Unter dem Motto „Sailing for Peace“ segelten wir vom bulgarischen Varna über Santorin bis in die Türkei nach Kaş, um ein Zeichen für Völkerverständigung und Frieden zu setzen. Vor Santorin kreuzten wir auch die deutsche Fregatte HESSEN, mit der wir noch heute sporadisch in Kontakt stehen. //
That was also the aim of the ABORA IV mission in 2019. Under the motto “Sailing for Peace” we sailed from Varna in Bulgaria via Santorini to Kaş in Turkey to set an example for international understanding and peace. We also crossed paths with the German frigate HESSEN off Santorini, with whom we are still in sporadic contact today.
Gojko Mitic war auch schon 2016 Teilnehmer auf der WELT-POKAL-Regatta mit dabei. Er wurde als Schauspieler zahlreicher Indianerfilme weltbekannt. Wir kennen uns auch seit vielen Jahren und freuen uns schon auf die Ausfahrt mit dem holländischen Segler. //
Gojko Mitic was also a participant in the WORLD CUP regatta in 2016. He became world famous as an actor in numerous Indian films. We have known each other for many years and are looking forward to the trip with the Dutch sailor.
Sailing tour with legend Gojko Mitic in Scotland
The Leipzig entrepreneur Mathias Wagner invited people to his last “WELT-POKAL” sailing tour. This time we're heading to the north of Scotland, where selected entrepreneurs will hit the waters with the Dutch windjammer THE FLYING DUTCH MAN.
The aim of the trip is to have interesting conversations and lectures on the topics of corporate culture, management and networking. For this reason, Mathias also invited me to speak about my ABORA research to those in politics, business and society.
The star guest on this year's trip is the well-known actor from countless Indian films, such as in Winnetou or in the DEFA films "The Sons of the Great Bear", Gojko Mitic. Gojko and I have known each other for a while. In many aspects our points of view are very similar, so that we - he as a friend of the Indians of the North - and I as a friend of the Indians of South America have many points of contact.
But many other guests are also real doers and firecrackers, so the tour is anything but a fun event. As has often been the case, sailing can form a great symbiosis to bring society, business and science together. And of course there's a bit of adventure included...
