The redesign of the forest elephant exhibition is nearing its end

Once again, members of the Association for Experimental Archeology Chemnitz e.V. worked with their master painter Günter Eckardt on the redesign of the forest elephant exhibition. Now the environment of the elephant has been designed. From now on it will be presented on a peninsula surrounded by water, as it could have existed several 100,000 years ago in the area of today's Lake Geiseltalsee.

Further exhibits of birds and aquatic mammals are still missing. For this purpose, an application was submitted to the “Museum für Natur” in Gotha (Stiftung Schloss Friedenstein).

The reopening is still unclear due to the corona situation. The management of the Pfännerhall is hoping for a quick opening. As soon as this takes place, visitors can marvel at a completely new nature diarhama in the Pfännerhall!
